Local Manufacturer is seeking Maintenance Technician for a full time, first shift position working Monday through Friday from 6:00AM-3:30PM. Overtime is also required as needed daily and on weekends. Pay starting at $30/HR depending on experience.

Job duties including but not limited to:

  • Record electrical/ maintenance issues on batch record downtime reports
  • Assist mechanics on product/ size changeovers & trouble shooting events
  • Find ways to increase productivity/ reduce downtime/automate processes
  • Update electrical/ maintenance schematics/ SOP’s as needed
  • Assist the packaging/compounding production teams as needed
  • Identify safety, quality concerns which may impact the safety of the employees and quality of the product
  • Packages containers into cartons, tapes cartons either manually or mechanically, and places carton on a pallet     
  • Applies product information or date coding onto shipping cartons on a packaging line
  • Applies stencils or label onto shipping cartons on a packaging line
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be able to pass preemployment background check
  • 3+ experience in repairing and troubleshooting packaging and processing equipment
  • Capable of troubleshooting electrical controls, PLC's and related mechanical issues
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional communication skill and time management required
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Attention to detail
  • Sense of urgency
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds regularly
