Job Description: We are seeking a reliable Production Assistant for a 1st shift manufacturing position in Ayer, MA. This role will support daily production operations by opening and closing job orders in the ERP system, verifying materials and lot numbers, printing production schedules, performing cycle counts, assisting with training and process improvements, and filling in on the production floor as needed. The Production Assistant may also provide basic supervisory support when the shift supervisor is unavailable and will be expected to follow all GMP, food safety, quality, and safety procedures.
Requirements
Requirements: Previous manufacturing, production, machine operating, or lead experience is preferred. Candidates should have good mechanical troubleshooting skills, basic computer skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment. ERP experience and knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMP, or food manufacturing standards are a plus. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with the ability to stand for long periods, bend, perform physical production tasks, and lift up to 60 lbs.
