Job Description: The Material Handler will support the Shipping & Receiving department by transporting freight, stock, and other materials throughout the facility by hand or using pallet jacks. Responsibilities include loading and unloading materials, sorting cargo, checking and packing orders, transferring materials from receiving to storage areas and the loading dock, securing materials to prevent damage, labeling containers, stacking materials on pallets or cargo boards, restocking shelves and supplies, maintaining a clean work area, and completing daily production sheets or work tickets to track materials moved.
Requirements
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required with 0–1 year of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience. Candidates must be able to follow directions, safely handle materials and equipment, complete work within required deadlines, and work under general supervision. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs., stand for extended periods, and regularly walk, bend, stoop, climb, balance, lift, and carry materials. Some areas of the facility are not climate controlled and may include exposure to heat and dust.
