Quality Technician / DQR
Position Summary:
Seeking an experienced Quality Technician/DQR to serve as a key quality liaison with aerospace customers. Ensures products, inspections, documentation, and processes meet customer requirements, drawings, specifications, purchase orders, and aerospace quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Quality contact for assigned aerospace customers.
- Review drawings, specifications, purchase orders, and customer requirements.
- Perform/support first-piece, in-process, final, receiving, source, and First Article inspections.
- Use CMMs, vision systems, micrometers, calipers, gauges, and precision measuring equipment.
- Prepare and review FAI/FAIR documentation per AS9102.
- Verify material/special-process certifications, inspection records, and Certificates of Conformance.
- Identify nonconforming product and support MRB, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate customer source inspections, audits, quality visits, and FAIR submissions.
- Support AS9100, customer, and applicable Nadcap requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/equivalent; technical or aerospace education preferred.
- 3–5 years of aerospace quality, inspection, or manufacturing experience.
- Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, and precision measurement.
- Experience with FAI/FAIR and AS9102.
- Working knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace quality requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred: DQR/Source Inspector experience, CMM/vision systems, Nadcap knowledge, ASQ certification, major aerospace customer experience, and ERP/MRP or electronic quality systems.
